My role is to provide an Inclusive and positive environment for all students. My goal is that every student develops strong mathematics skills so they will be prepared for eighth grade, high school, and beyond!

Classroom Expectations
You are EXPECTED to:
Come to class on time every day
Come to class prepared every day (Textbook, Notebook, Pencil)
Be an active member of the class (Participation is Key)
Complete the daily homework assignments
Work with and respect all members of the learning community
Homework Policy
Homework will be assigned in 4-5 days per week and will be carefully selected with the intention to assure that all exercises are extremely relevant and beneficial. With that said, the expectation is that homework will be completed each night. ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN AND PENCIL MUST BE USED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE FULL CREDIT! (This includes copying the original problem) Every day the teacher will check that each student has completed their homework. Everyday that the student completes the homework assignment in pencil and shows all work, he/she will receive two points. If work is not shown, the student will receive one point.
No late homework will be accepted unless the student was absent on the day that the work was assigned. Homework will be written on the board daily and also posted on the teacher’s OnCourse homework calendar.

Tests / Quizzes
Four to six tests will be given each marking period. Additionally, upon the conclusion of each marking period a District Assessment test will be given that will count for 5% of the student’s final grade that marking period. (The grade will not count towards the Test category.) All tests must be completed in pencil. All work must be shown or attached. Test grades will be recorded in students' notebooks. Dates of upcoming tests will also be posted on the OnCourse homework calendar. As soon as tests grades are posted in the Parent Portal.
Quizzes will be given in this class as deemed necessary. These quizzes may be announced or unannounced. Generally quizzes will be taken in class; however, at times online take home quizzes may be assigned. All quizzes must be completed in pencil. Additionally, all work must be shown or attached. Quiz grades will be recorded in students' notebooks. Dates of upcoming announced quizzes will also be posted on the OnCourse homework calendar. As soon as quiz grades are posted in the Parent Portal.
Cheating will NOT be tolerated and will result in a ZERO as a grade
