Extra Credit:

 

It is understood that sometimes we may not be able to fulfill every obligation, so take advantage of any  opportunities for extra credit that may arise. These opportunities are available to help students earn the grades they deserve regardless of an occasional error. 

 

• EACH QUARTER: Students may read a book from the school library, their personal collection or the classroom library. Once completed, students will write a summary of the selection and explain a major moment in the text using the techniques described in class.
• EVERY OTHER QUARTER: Students may write an additional essay to boost his or her final grade. Topics will be discussed at the time of the request.
• PERIODICALLY: Additional opportunities for extra credit will be announced in class.  

 

 

FAQ:

 

-All assignments must be cleared with the teacher first.

-They must be turned in two weeks before the close of the marking period.

-Incomplete or late assignments will not be accepted.

-It is the student's responsibility to make a request for extra credit.
