**Rational Functions Project Algebra 2 Honors**

You will create a project that describes and demonstrates the rational functions we have studied. You will create your own "equations " of rational functions. Project may be in the form of a poster or a scrapbook.

**DUE DATE: Monday, March 16, 2015 (Late projects will be accepted - grade 30 points off)**

**Draw following Rational Functions**

**Parent Function/bold solid line/.**

**Draw Horizontal and Vertical asymptotes of the transforemed function/ bold dashed line/.**

**Table of values of the parent function.**

Write down the domain( interval notation), range(interval notation), discontinuity for x=, increasing or/and decreasing/interval notation/, all asymptotes/vertical , horizontal/, end behavior, x-intercepts, y-intercepts, calculations, graphs(precision of graphing will be graded). All asymptotes and intercepts should be marked on the graphs**.**

**First transformed function**

**Draw the Parent Function.**

**A Rational function - shifted right or left, up or down.**

**Grading - This will be recorded as a test grade for the MP 3**

- Following Directions -10 points
- Creativeness of unique Equation of Rational Function - 10 points
- Mathematical Correctness of Transformations and Descriptions - 50 points
- Visual Appeal (use of color, neatness, etc.) - 30 points

The project should be in the form of a poster board or a scrapbook.
