Cooperating Music Stores

The following music stores are Cooperating Vendors with our district.  That means that they have agreed to our standards and specifications in regards to equipment and services.  They are also very familiar with our program and will know exactly what you need when talking with them. They also have representatives that visit our school weekly to pick up, drop off, or address the instruments.

We always encourage beginning band students to rent their instruments the first year. There are several reasons for that:

1) Good quality instruments are very expensive.  You will be renting an instrument that could cost you $1,000 - $2,000 if you were to purchase it new.  Anything online that costs significantly less will be made from poor quality materials, made to lesser quality standards, and will not play as easily as the ones you would be renting.  In most cases music stores will not or can not repair the cheap online instruments when they break.

2) When you rent through a cooperating vendor, repairs are included in the rental contract.  Should (when) something happens to the instrument, the vendors will obtain, fix, and return the instrument for free.

3) Some of the rental agreements (*please check each offered rental program when deciding where to rent) offer rental contracts that build equity while you rent instrument.  At the end of the contract you could own the instrument you have been renting or receive credit towards the purchase of another instrument.
