Band Basics

 

The regular program consists of three separate activities a week:

 

5th Grade Band

 

Meets once a week before school at 8:15 a.m. usually on Fridays with an arrival time of 8am.  This Schedule will be listed under the Before School Schedule tab.  This includes allowing time to wait in the drop off line, drop off bags, and assemble their instrument.   Please view the drop off procedures listed on the website.

 

Lessons

 

Students will have Lessons once a week during school on a fixed day. For example, if their lesson is on Monday, they would have a lesson every Monday.  The period will change every week so that the students are not missing the same class all the time.  The lesson schedule will also be posted on my teacher website.

 

Sectionals

 

Wednesday mornings before school are designated for sectionals.  This will be where each section of the band will meet by itself to go over instrument specific issues or concerns.  Individual students will only have a few sectionals each year.  At this time, there are no sectionals scheduled due to lack of available space in the building due to Covid restrictions.
