Grading in Band is based upon the following:

 

 

Attendance

Students are expected to come prepared to all During School Lessons and Before-School Band rehearsals.  If a student misses a lesson it is their responsibility to find another student in their lesson group or talk to their teacher to find out the assignment that was missed.

 

Performance

A percentage of the students grade will be based upon their performance and improvement of their homework assignments and concert pieces.  It is very important that students practice throughout the week to prepare their assignments for their lesson, improve their embouchures, and build muscle memory.

 

Participation and Behavior

Students are expected to actively participate and demonstrate good behavior during their classes.
