Grading

 

There are no official grades this year for band, but students will be evaluated based on the following categories.

 

 

Attendance

Students are expected to come prepared to all Lessons and Ensemble times.  If a student misses a lesson it is their responsibility to find another student in their lesson group or talk to their teacher to find out the assignment that was missed.

 

Performance

Students schould see improvement over time on their instrument.  This will come from spending time on the instrument and working on the skills that we go over in lessons.  That is why it is very important that students practice throughout the week to prepare their assignments for their lesson.

 

Participation and Behavior

Students are expected to actively participate and demonstrate good behavior during their classes.
