Our 100th day of school will be on Thursday, February 9th!!

To celebrate, we would love to have the kindergarten children dress up like

they are 100 years old. 

Also, please count 100 small items with your child and bring it in to share on/before 2/9.

The Blessing Bag Brigade needs your help!

This local nonprofit organization provides those in need with basic necessities.



The Blessing Bag Brigade:


Kindergarten: Bottled waters

First Grade: Snack foods (ex: soft breakfast/granola bars)

Second Grade: Toothbrushes

Third Grade: Travel size lotion

Fourth Grade: Travel size shampoo

Fifth Grade: Deodorant

Sixth Grade: Men's socks

Seventh Grade: Travel size body wash/soap

Eighth Grade: Travel size toothpaste


Saint Leo's is holding a donation drive and packing event for the Blessing Bag Brigade.

Donations are due Friday, January 27

*Donations of any quantity are appreciated!

On Wednesday, December 22nd Saint Leo the Great will be celebrating Christmas as a school community.

We will have a class party and share some holiday fun!

This will be a formal dress-up day--please have your child dress accordingly.

We will have a 12:30 dismissal this day

Warm wishes to all for a wonderful Christmas!! 


Our Christmas show is all set for Thursday, 12/15 @ 7 pm in the AAC

Please arrive to the classroom (rm 116)  no later than 6:15 pm

so we can prepare for the show


Our K-songs are: Elfie Selfie and Go Tell It On The Mountain


Please help by dressing all Boys and Girls in:

Green, red or white pants/sweats with a white, green or red turtleneck/shirt


After the show, please come back to our classroom for dismissal.

GREAT JOB to all k-students for a beautiful Thanksgiving Prayer Service!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!! 


On Tuesday, 11/22- the k-classes will be presenting a

Thanksgiving prayer service @ 10 am .


Parents, please sit directly behind the kindergartners in the reserved pews.

These seats are only for kindergarten parents.

All other guests of kindergarten students may sit on the left side of the church (as you are looking at the Altar).


Our Thanksgiving Rebus/speaking parts have been sent home.

Please help your child practice the rebus each night.

All K-classes are responsible for knowing when to say the "picture" words. 


Reminder for our Thanksgiving prayer service:

KA Pilgrim boys/girls


Boys: white long sleeve shirt-dark color slacks

Girls: plain dress/blouse and skirt


 A friendly reminder to please bring your lunch

if you didn't place an order for the turkey feast.

School photo retake for KA will be on Wednesday, 11/9

Students please bring your best smile and wear your regular school uniform. 


Thank you all for participating in the Thanksgiving Food Project!

Each child has been assigned items to bring into school by 11/17/22 to help a family in need-- Our family has 2 adults and 2 children.

Please feel free to add any additional items for the holiday. The families truly appreciate any personal touches.

*We are also asking for a family to donate a 12 lb. turkey for the family.

Monday, 10/31 is our school Halloween parade, students are invited to wear

their Halloween costume to school.

Please remember that scary costumes and/or toy weapons are not permitted.

Goody bags are welcomed --no food/candy


Please check your child's folder for some November FUN! 

We read Turkey Trouble  and Tom the Turkey needs your help.

Please help disguise Tom so he won't be eaten for Thanksgiving.

KA-Get ready to bring your best smile for picture day on Friday, 9/16!


Ready for FUN--
"Icebreaker" bags are in your child's folder and are due back by Friday to share.
Children are asked to place no more than 5 items in the bag that best describes and help us get to know them better. For example, if your child likes to read, they may place a small book in the bag. Photos work well for big items such as a basketball or animal friends!

 Should the need arise to switch to Virtual Learning, please refer to the Virtual Learning Plan, located on the school website.


Kindergarten parents may walk their child to class only on the first day of school. 






All students in grades K through 8 must be in full dress code upon entrance to school each day. The dress code is in effect from September through June. Uniforms may be purchased through Flynn & O’Hara at






• Khaki pull-on elastic waist long pants or shorts

• Long- or short-sleeved navy polo shirt (no logos)

• White or navy crew socks

• Navy V-neck cardigan (optional)

• Maroon full-zip fleece with SLG logo



• Khaki drop waist jumper or khaki 2 pleat skort, (Lands’ End or Kohl’s’ uniform skorts are allowed)

• Khaki pull-on long elastic waist pants (optional)

• Long- or short-sleeved dark navy golf shirt (no logos)

• White peter pan collar long or short-sleeve blouse may be worn with the jumper

• White or navy knee-hi or crew socks or tights

• Navy crewneck cardigan sweater (optional)

• Maroon full-zip fleece jacket with SLG logo


Boys & Girls Shoes:

Any safe, comfortable, and closed toe style, including sneakers is acceptable.





Grades K-8 Physical Education Uniform:

• Black, knee-length, mesh gym shorts with SLG logo (as seen at Flynn O’Hara)

*No Soffe shorts are allowed in place of mesh gym shorts.

• Maroon t-shirt with SLG logo (long or short sleeve)

• Solid black heavyweight sweatpants with SLG logo (as seen at Flynn O’Hara) (not tight or legging type pants)

• Solid colored crew socks in white or black

• Sneakers: white or black only (Grades 1-8)

• Maroon full-zip fleece jacket with SLG logo (Optional)


Students in grades K-5 may wear gym uniforms to school on their gym day unless directed to do otherwise.
