We will be studying many disciplines within science throughout the year. 

8th Grade;

Grading

  • All grades are based on a point system.
  • Tests will be assigned the highest points. There will be a test after each chapter.
  • Quizzes will be assigned with smaller point values.
  • Homework checks are 5 pts.(Usually)
  • Quick search, labs, current events and other written work will be assigned point values depending on length.
  • We will follow the middle school grading policy regarding late or missing work.

 

Goals for the year:

  • Increase organizational and study habits
  • Develop critical thinking skills.
  • Learn through hands on activities.
  • Cultivate good writing skills.
  • High School next year!!

 

Extra Help

  • During homeroom.
  • Available during lunch and after school. Please let me know ahead of time.
