We will be studying many disciplines within science throughout the year.  Each grade level has a unique set of plans for an exciting and educational year.

 STEM - We will be learning engineering and technology skills as well.

Grading:

All grades are based on a point system.

  • Tests will be assigned the highest points. There will be a test after each chapter.
  • Quizzes will be assigned smaller point values.
  • Homework checks are 5 pts.(Usually)
  • Quick search, labs, current events and other written work will be assigned point values depending on length.

We will follow the middle school grading policy regarding late or missing work.

Goals for the year:

  • Increase organizational and study habits
  • Develop critical thinking skills.
  • Learn through hands on activities.
  • Cultivate good writing skills.

Extra Help

  • During Academic Supplement - Tuesday and Friday
  • Available during lunch and after school. Please let me know ahead of time.
