We are one of the few elementary/middle schools to have a handbell program, which began in spring of 1999.  Quinton School has three octave of tone chimes.  Tone chimes are used for music reading activities in general music classes from grades 3-8.  Students are selected for bell choirs according to how well they count and subdivide rhythms.  We had seven bell choirs in our Holiday Concert this past December, each having a different ability level.

For the Spring Concert each year Mr. Wernega also puts together an eighth grade bell choir, which also performs at the graduation ceremony.
