Teacher:
Taryn Argondizza Fortin

I started my teaching career here in October 2008 as a LEAP Teacher for Grades 1-2.  In my class, the students learn Reading, Writing, Grammar, Phonics, Spelling and Mathematics, along with skills that can be used in everyday life. I use a variety of multi-sensory lessons and activities to suit each students' unique abilities.

I have had a passion for teaching since I was very young, and became inspired to teach Special Education because I grew up with a brother who has special needs. Taking care of and helping my brother has given me a lot of patience, knowledge and techniques to use in this field of work.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kean University. I am dually certified as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Elementary Education Teacher (K-5).  It has been so rewarding and such a pleasure to teach in this wonderful school district. I look forward to serving the families of West New York for many years to come!
