September 2024
Dear Fourth Grader,
Welcome to a brand new school year! My name is Mrs. Raia and I will be your new classroom teacher in September. For the past 24 years I've taught either 3rd or 4th grade in Bridgewater. Fourth grade is filled with excitement and challenges. We will have fun adventures together learning many new things along the way.
I hope you are continuing to enjoy your summer vacation. I have been enjoying my time by reading by the pool, hiking, going to the lake or beach, and getting together with family and friends. I spent my weekends at Lake Wallenpaupak in Pennsylvania this summer with my family and friends. It was so much fun...the lake is perfect for tubing, water skiing or wake boarding off the back of our boat! My older son moved back to college last week and my younger son is starting his first year of college this week. I look forward to hearing about your summer activities too when we meet up in September...so be ready to share!
I love reading and read many wonderful books this summer! On the first several days of school, I will share some read aloud books with you. We will start sharing ideas and discussing experiences right away!
If you are planning to do any back-to-school shopping, I've made a list of suggested school supplies that you might consider. (Please see the list below or on the Back-to-School Supplies Tab.)
I look forward to meeting you and working together to make fourth grade a memorable year.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Smiles,
Mrs. Loree Raia
