We will be learning so many wonderful and new things in fourth grade. Below you will find some information on the types of things we are learning and tips to make the most of your learning.
Math -
You will begin the year by exploring routines and reviewing things you may already know. We will also focus on our basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. Just about every night you will have a Practice Worksheet for homework to review skills taught in class and to share your learning with your family.
Reading -
Reading is thinking, so we will be doing some great thinking every day. We will use our reading comprehension strategies to make us better and more efficient readers this year. You'll have an opportunity to share what you learn or think as you read. I can't wait to share the wonderful world of reading with you. Each week you will read for 100 minutes and record your reading on a "Daily Reading Log" which your parents will sign.
