Google Classroom is being utilized more now than ever!
But the emails can FLOOD your inbox and make it difficult to figure out if
-a friend emailed
-the school emailed
-a teacher sent you a personal email
-a college sent you a personal email
-a request was made by guidance
-if someone replied to your email
So you can set up a folder in your gmail account to handle this automatically!

2nd: Create a new label
Scroll all the way down on the left by your inbox
If you don't see it, try click the down-arrow that is labelled "More"
Then Click "+ Create new label"
Title it "Google Classroom"
3rd: Open an email from Google Classroom
4th : Click the 3 vertical dots at the top right
5th: Choose the option "Filter messages like this"
6th: Change the "From" category to have only "@classroom.google.com"
7th: Click "Create filter" at the bottom
8th: Check the boxes that say "Skip the inbox" , "Apply the label..." and, "Never send it to spam", then open the drop-down menu and click Google Classroom.
