Syllabus: Mathematics SL

I assign the students a grade from 0 - 100% based on all work assigned in class. IB assigns a grade from 1 - 7 based on the following two criteria.

External Assessment (80%)- we prepare for two years for this exam

This is a two-part standardized exam that is sent to IB for grading. There is a calculator and a non-calculator section.

Internal assessment (20%) -a complete draft is the final exam for juniors
This is an individual mathematical exploration. It is a written work that involves thoroughly investigating any question that can be analyzed and answered with mathematical analysis. The academic level of the question will greatly affect the quality of their paper.

Students are given multiple items to review and given multiple assignments through out the year to help prepare. They will be submitted through https://www.turnitin.com/
