Genetics Project
You are being challenged to incorporate your knowledge about cells, cell division, genetics, and DNA to research and present information about a specific genetics topic to your peers. You have already completed your basic study about the topics listed below. Now, using the information you research, you are bring asked to prepare information about a specific genetic disorder, genetic discovery, or current genetics issue. Your findings must be presented in one of the following formats: an article suitable for a magazine or newspaper (one – two pages), a webpage, or a power point presentation; all formats MUST include visuals.
Your research should cover the following points:

Specifically – What is it? AND
- How the disorder was originally discovered (what where they studying?):

- How the discovery was originally made (what were they looking for?):

- The genetics behind the disorder (discovery or issue):
In other words - How is it inherited (what rules does the inheritance follow)?
How are GENES involved?
- The practical concerns about the disorder (discovery or issue):
In other words – How does it affect people’s lives? Who is affected? What % of the population?
- The significance for the future:
- Other interesting information your peers might be interested in:
