summer to be ready for seventh grade math courses!

Students needs a firm understanding of benchmark fractions, decimals, and percents and should be able to convert these easily.
1. Words and Expressions
Review:

- Use variables and solve for variables
- solve proportions with variables

2. Ordered Pairs and Relations
Review:
- Coordinate plane with all four quadrants
- Ordered pairsincluding negative integers
- x + y Coordinate
- graphing orderer pairs
- domain and range
- graphing linear equations
- graph algebraic equations
VOCABULARY: coordinate, origin, ordered pair, x-coordinate, y-coordinate ,x-axis, y-axis, domain, range
3. Integers and Absolute Value
Review:
- Comparing and ordering integers
- solving integer equations
- all operations with integers such as multiplication and division
- finding absolute value
- expressions with absolute value
VOCABULARY: negative and positive numbers, integers, absolute value, inequality
4. PROPORTIONS/RATES/RATIOS - everything!
5. Area of Composite Figures
Review finding the area of two or more shapes
6. Measures of Central Tendency (Landmark Statistics)
Review:
- Mean, median, mode, range, measures of variation
- Stem and leaf plots (displaying, interpreting, finding statistics) and other types of graphs
