Class Expectations

Both the 5th and 6th grade language arts classes will be reading novels at various points throughout the year. Students will have comprehension questions and reading due as each novel is assigned. Please check the homework section to work with your child in completing assignments. It is especially helpful to read aloud with your children to improve their fluency. 

Students are expected to hand in homework assignments on the day they are due. No exceptions will be made and a zero will be given for work not handed in. Homework counts for 15% of your child's grade. Please check their planner and my website daily for assignments.

Study guides are always provided for language arts tests. Please review the material with your child, as this will ensure their success.
