REMINDERS:

• NO SCHOOL MONDAY SEPT. 5^th – LABOR DAY
• Open House: Tuesday, Sept. 6^th, 5-7pm
• Progress Reports - sent home on 9/7
• Snack Time:  We will have snack time every afternoon. Your child is allowed one single-serving snack and water/juice.
• Outerwear:  Our classroom does get cold during the day. If you would like to send a jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt in your child’s book sack for just in case, that would be great. Please LABEL and NO HOODIES!
• ARRIVAL: Please have your child to school on time each day! Our day begins promptly at 8am.

• Sort “what goes together”
• Classify into categories
• Sort and count – sort by color, size, shape, count
• TEST on Lessons 1-6 in Module 1

CKLA SKILLS:

• REVIEW:  Unit 1: Skills this week:  holding pencil/crayon with tripod grip, spatial awareness, positions, directionality (left to right, top to bottom), segment spoken sentences into words.

HOMEWORK: (HW)

• Please follow the cover sheet which lists the page to have your child complete each night.
• I do not recommend working ahead in the packet. I teach one lesson per day, so working ahead may confuse your child since the skill may not have been taught yet.
• Send the homework packets back to school on Friday in your child’s folder. PLEASE remember to have your child write his/her name on the cover page.
