About Me:
Welcome to Celeste Thornhill's webpage. I am proud to be in my 26th year as part of the West Feliciana faculty. I graduated with a BS and a Master's degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University. I currently teach Girls' Physical Education 1 and 2, Athletic PE and Weightlifting. I am also the head volleyball coach, as well as the Physical Education department chair. My planning period is Tuesdays from 9:11-10:49 and Fridays from 9:32-11:03 for anyone who needs assistance or needs to contact me.

Class Information:
Purpose: To positively affect the attitudes and practices of the student.
The ultimate goal of this course is for students to acquire fundamental skills in various individual as well as team sports, and to maintain a healthy level of fitness through conditioning and flexibility exercises.
Course Description: This course is designed to introduce students to many different skills through various sports, such as volleyball, pickleball, badminton, tennis, ultimate frisbee, baskteball, softball, kickball and weight training. The students will be able to demonstrate knowledge, not only of the skills involved, but also of the rules of the game and game strategies for competitive play.
Materials: PE shirt, PE shorts, white socks and tennis shoes (uniforms may be purchased for $15)
