Welcome to Third Grade! We are going to have a great school year! I am so excited that your child is in my class! There are many things to look forward to in third grade. Be sure to sign the reading book each Monday evening . Your child needs to read 80 minutes each week. You will show this by filling out their Reading Log. This is due every Tuesday and worth 3 points a week. Your child is responsible to show you their assignment book each evening. Please initial it each day.
This year is a big year for testing in the spring. We will be taking the ISTEP and IREAD Tests. Review all the papers that are brought home and help your child with corrections. It will really help your child with topics they may be struggling with.
Remember you are welcome to have lunch with your child. Just call ahead and order your lunch from the cafeteria, so they have the correct number of lunches.
Don't forget that Fall Break will be on October 14th and October 17th.
WES will have Red Ribbon Week on October 24 - 28th. We will have our Fall Party on October 31st.
