We will be learning words from the Dolch Pre-primer and Primer lists. We will refer to these words as "sight words" or "high freqency words". These words cannot be sounded out and comprise the most common words found in reading. It is very important that our children recognize these words quickly so that their reading will be fluent. Our word lists by 9 weeks periods can be found here:
