Behavior Management:

All children need to be educated in a setting where they can feel safe and respected, where they can learn, and where they can develop socially and emotionally. However, behavioral disruptions can negatively affect the learning environment for the child causing the disruptions, as well as for the remaining students. Due to this, students are expected to follow every classroom & school rule.
Please review Magnolia Elementary School's Handbook regulary to be aware of the rules that students are expected to follow daily.

School Visitations:
For the safety of our students, all visitors are required to sign-in the office before coming to the classroom as well as other areas on this campus.

Classroom Procedures:
A. Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences- Please contact me to schedule conferences. Please call me at school or clearly write me a note to request conferences during my conference period.  I cannot have conferences during instructional time.

B. Signed Papers- Weekly signed papers go home every Tuesday during a regular week of school in your child's vinyl, green Communication Folder. Each graded paper and cover sheet must be signed and returned to me on the next school day. Students who do not return their Weekly Papers and Communication Folder in a timely manner will lose recesses until these items are properly signed by a parent or a guardian & returned to me. Other important messages, progress reports and report cards shall be found in this folder as well, when applicable.

C. Homework Procedures- Homework is given daily with the exception of Fridays.  However, students are expected to read AR books every night, and work on special projects when applicable.

Reviewing classroom and school procedures with your child regularly is important.  As a whole class, we review these procedures regularly as well.

ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST!
