Our goal every single day is to do music
in a tuneful, beat-ful, artful way!
K&1 grade music students follow the First Steps music immersion curriculum supplimented by Dalcroze methods of movement in music.
2nd grade follows the Conversational Solfege curriculum of music literacy supplimented by Dalcroze methods of movement in music.
3rd grade follows Conversational Recorder curriculum supplimented by Dalcroze methods of movement in music.
4th Grade follows Conversational Solfege Upper Levels with a focus on ukulele performance.
5th Grade follows Conversational Solfege Upper Levels with a focus on band/choir/orchestra knowledge in preperation for middle school, supplimented by Dalcroze methods of movement in music.

Club Information:
Ukulele Choir
Mondays 2-3pm; 4th &5th Grades
Inspire a love for singing, foster creativity, promote social growth, belonging, community, and pursue excellence through ukulele-accompanied music performance. Student-directed music choice. Instrument provided and stays at school. Opportunities for All-County, Regional, and All-State Honor Choir auditions. Performances: November Winter Concert, March Fort Myers Downtown Art Walk, April Spring Concert, and optional joint concert with Trafalgar Middle in May. Maximum 25 members.
Rhythm Club
Tuesdays 2-3pm; 3rd-5th Grades
3rd-5th grade. Inspire a love for instrumental music, foster creativity, promote social growth, belonging, community, and pursue musical excellence through performance on xylophone, world drums, and hand percussion. Performance of diverse repertoire alongside student music composition. Instruments provided and stay at school. Potential for Regional and All-State auditions. Performances: November Winter Concert, Spring TES Art Show, and April Spring Concert. Maximum 25 members.
Beginning Band:
Wednesdays 2pm-3:30pm.; 5th Grade
Inspire a love for instrumental music, foster creativity, promote social growth, belonging, community, and pursue musical excellence through performance on flute, clarinet, trumpet, or trombone. Skills learned in Beginning Band will directly transfer to middle and high school band programs. Limited instruments available for rental via scholarship, otherwise instruments are not provided. please email Ms. Gulseth for details. Performances: November Winter Concert, April Spring Concert, and optional joint performance with the Trafalgar Middle beginning band in May. Maximum 25 members. Practice Club:
Fridays 7:20-7:45am; 2nd-5th Grades
First-come first-served weekly available practice time on any desired classroom instrument. This group does not perform.
