Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) is the practice of promoting children's social emotional competence and preventing and addressing challenging behavior. In other words, teaching appropriate behaviors whenever possible, focusing on positive behaviors through praise and extinguishing negative behaviors by not reinforcing them with negative attention.
