  Welcome to "Showtime at the Shelling" Music Class

Welcome to our musical journey where you will discover the rich heritage of African American music while developing your own artistic talents. In our classroom, transformed into a tribute to Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater, you will experience excellence in performance just like the musical legends who came before us. Through singing, playing instruments, and creative expression, you will master Louisiana music standards while celebrating our cultural traditions. Every student is valued, respected, and encouraged to share their unique musical voice. Together, we will create , perform, and appreciate music while building confidence, cultural pride, and lifelong skills through the joy of music.

• Weekly music journal writing (Grades 3-6)
• Students receive grades of S-N-U (Satisfatory, Needs Improvement, or Unsatisfactory)
