SPANISH I 5 credits Full Year. World Language courses are designed through the three modes of communication: interpretive (listening and reading), interpersonal (person-to-person), and presentational (writing and speaking). In the first year of a language, students will learn to communicate at the novice level. The goal of the course is to become familiar with basic information about the countries where the language is used, identify general topics for everyday contexts, and communicate via practiced or memorized words, phrases, and simple sentences and questions that are spoken or written.

  • Recommendation for Spanish II at the end of the course

  • Requirements: 7th grade Literacy teacher recommendation and Señora Arroyo
