•In Fundations we are we continue to practice our letters and their sounds.  We have learned three glued sounds (all, am, and an).  We have also learned many new trick words and vocabulary words.  Students will continue to be assessed on the sounds and words of each Unit. Please be sure to do the short homework that is sent home, even if it is repetitive. Next in Unit 6 we will learn what a suffix is. This Unit is three weeks long.
•Superkids (Reading)- we have read many short stories about the Superkids.  We continue to practice our letters and their sounds.  We also talked about plurals and digraphs to review.
•In writing students are finishing up narratives, short stories about themselves.
•We filled the pom pom jar recently and all students earned a prize from the prize box ( their vote).
•During our Second Step SEL Unit, we will talk about how to control the different emotions that we have.
•This month we also discuss holidays around the world, how we get along in school, and polar animals.  We will also compare and contrast the story of the Polar Express and the movie.  Polar Express Day is December 20th. Wear your pajamas 😊
