Hello everyone and thank you for visiting our classroom page. My name is Mrs. Bettenhausen and I teach first grade at Port Colden Elementary School. I hope that you will find this webpage helpful throughout your first grade school year.
A little bit about me...
I am honored to say that this is my tenth year teaching first grade at Port Colden Elementary. I have been teaching for 16 years with experience in not just first grade, but preschool, full-day kindergarten, and second grade as well. I am a graduate from Bloomsburg University where I studied Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I am a proud mom of two children, a son who will be seven and a daughter who is four. At home I reside with my husband Chris, our son and daughter, and our dog, Penny. We love going on walks and visiting fun and exciting places. In my spare time I also like to learn new teaching techniques and ideas to use in my classroom, cook and bake new recipes, and spend quality time with my family and friends. I look forward to teaching first grade again at Port Colden Elementary and I am excited to make more memories as your first grade teacher!
