Homework will be sent home daily. Students will record homework assignments onto the sheet located on the back of their blue folders in school. Students will complete a Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe each week on their current spelling list as well as read each night for 10 minutes for homework. Students will receive daily math homework that will be due the following day. In reading students will receive one reading response sheet per week to go along with one of their books in the "Bag of Books".
Key Homework Components:

Reading: All students should be reading every night for 10 mintues. Studnets and parents should record on monthly reading log. The children will also be encouraged to write responses to books they have read. This will come in their "Bag of Books" in a paper form.

Spelling: Each week, students will have a new set of Memeory and Pattern words for spelling. They will be tested on 10 of the words (all 6 Memory Words and 4 of the Pattern Words). Homework will be in the form of a tic-tac-toe. Different activities will be listed for students to do to practice their spelling words. All students must complete three boxes. They can be any three and do not need to form a tic-tac-toe. Please complete all spelling assignments in the notebook that's provided or attach and place in folder.
- Math: Math homework will be assigned daily unless stated otherwise Monday through Thursday.
