Michael Morelli is honored to become a member of Ola Edwards Community School this year. Prior to joining OECS Mr. Morelli taught in four of the schools in Hillside Public Schools district, during which has assumed many roles including high school coach, professional development presenter, club advisor, event organizer, and on occasion (though he’ll reluctantly admit it) costumed school mascot.
Known as "Coach" to his students Mr. Morelli prioritizes creating a classroom environment where every student can achieve success physically and mentally. As a student Michael credits the influence of his teachers, particularly his baseball coach Mr. Fred Cole of the OBPS, for encouraging him to pursue a career in education. Morelli attended William Paterson College earning a B.S. in Exercise Physiology, and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Kean University.
Mr. Morelli has been serving the students of Hillside since 1999.
