Hi, My name is Mrs. Mayard. I am a Kindergarten teacher here at Pesson Elementary. This will be my 9th year teaching at Pesson. I have earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am certified in Elementary Education Kindergarten-5th grade. Prior to joining Pesson Elementary I have worked as a teacher's assistant in a Pre-K classroom in Lafayette Parish for 7 years. I love teaching and children, and I am looking forward to a year of great success for your child. I feel that it is very important for parents to be involved in the education of their child as we work together to ensure that everyone has a productive year.
Let me share a little personal information about myself. I am married to Caleb Mayard and we have two children, Cam, who is a very conversational ten year old and Reece who is an adventurous five year old. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, shopping, and watching movies with my friends. Especially eating POPCORN at the movie theater. My favorite place to vacation is the beach. I also have a passion for Dance! I was a dance indtructor for 8 years at Dance Graphics in Lafayette.
