Nonfiction (books that are about facts or real events) - starts at 000.1 by the library entrance. Nonfiction books are in numerical order from

The Dewey subjects:
000 -- General Works -- computers, Guiness World Records, Ripley's, aliens and UFOs
100 -- Philosophy -- ghosts, optical illusions, emotions, the supernatural
200 -- Religion -- world religions, mythology
300 -- Social Sciences -- social issues like immigration and world cultures, government, careers, transportation, holidays, folktales, and fairy tales
400 -- Languages -- sign language, dictionaries, foreign languages, hieroglyphics
500 -- Science and Math -- science experiments, mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, physics, biology, plants, animals and insects
600 -- Technology -- inventions, health and medicine, rockets, cars, trains, trucks, farming, cookbooks, woodworking, building
700 -- Arts and Recreation -- art history, architecture, origami, drawing, painting, printing, photography, music, sports and games (magic, I Spy, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey, camping, fishing, racing, hunting)
800 -- Literature -- poetry, plays, jokes and riddles
900 -- Geography and History -- countries of the world, world history, American history
Biography -- These books are in the back of the library in the low book cases. They are alphabetical by the subject and start with either 92 or B. For example, a book about Anne Frank would be found on the biography shelves with the call number 92 Fra. Biography is nonfiction.
Reference -- Reference books are also on the low book cases. They are for use in the library. They are arranged by Dewey Decimal number preceded by REF. Reference is nonfiction.
Fiction -- (stories created by the imagination of the writer) -- fiction books are in the back of the library and are in alphabetical order by the author's last name. Fiction books by authors with the last name starting with the letter A are on the low bookcase at the back of the library closest to the hexagonal table. The books are arranged clockwise on the cases around the table, with books by authors with the last name starting with the letter Z on the bottom shelf of the case with trophies on top/ near the pipes.
