Spanish I Bellwork for Absentee & Virtual Students

1st Hour: Spanish I

Be sure to use your online textbook for translations. Do not use Google translate or other web-based translations. Check this every school day at the beginning of your Spanish class period.

 

4th 6 Weeks Bellworks

1. Every day at the beginning of your class period, work on bellwork and then begin the rest of your Spanish assignments. 

2. Be sure to NUMBER your bellwork, write the date in SPANISH.

3. Copy AND answer the questions. 

 

BW 1: el cinco de enero

 

Copy the date. Then copy & answer the questions. Ser: complete the sentences with the correct form of ser.​

2. Look at the photo and read p. 54 "Comparación Cultural" and answer the following questions in complete sentences:

4.  What do people do there?
5. ¿Son amigos? (We've learned enough to be able to answer this in a complete sentence in Spanish)
6. ¿Qué les gusta hacer? (answer in a complete Spanish sentence)
7. ¿Llueve o hace sol?  (answer in a complete Spanish sentence)
BW 3: el ocho de enero
Vocabulary: COPY and answer the questions. Match each adjective with its appropriate like or dislike. Refer back to page 51 in the online book for assistance on the old vocabulary on likes/dislikes.

Noun-Adjective Agreement: Fill in the blanks with the appropriate -o/-a ending.

BW 14: el ocho de febrero

Numbers: Go to page 87 in the online book at my.hrw.com. Look at the numbers 11-100. After 31, they stopped numbering. Why? To say the numbers after 30 in Spanish, you would say "thirty AND ONE" thirty AND two, and so on. Let's practice by changing these numbers into Spanish words.  (Note if you forgot numbers 1-10 they are on p. 16). 

Example: 99. You write noventa y nueve. Literally says "Ninety and nine"

Verb Tener: Using the chart from page 91 in the book, write the correct form of tener for each pronoun.
