About Mr. Cocozzo
I grew up right here in East Rutherford with his parents and two younger brothers. While attending Franklin and Faust Schools, I participated in many sports in town such as hockey, baseball and soccer. I attended River Dell Regional High School in Oradell, NJ where I played varsity ice hockey and baseball. After high school, I attended the University of Rhode Island and also played for the men's ice hockey team. I received a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree from URI in 2007 and a Master in the Art of Teaching degree from Marygrove College in 2012 in the area of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment. I received my Supervisor & Principal's Certification from New Jersey City University in 2022. I am also a proud parent with my wife, Kathleen to our son, Zachary (4) and daughter, Ava (1)
I strive to instill the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle along with proper nutrition to all of my students by promoting positive social interaction, responsibility and accountability for every child that walks into my classroom. Creating a fun and safe environment is my goal as I hope to pass on my love for physical activity to the students of Faust School.
