HEALTH EDUCATION

The Faust School Health Education and Family Life curriculum is designed to help students develop knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our primary focus is for our students to think critically, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively. Students also learn how to improve their health, say “No” to drugs, prevent disease, avoid health risk behaviors as well as unplanned pregnacy.

The New Jersey State Department of Education requires that your child be given instruction in Family Life Education. This part of the health curriculum addresses physical development, abstinence, interpersonal relationships, gender  and awareness of sexually transmitted diseases.

Below are links that will enable Parents/Guardians to take an in-depth look at the standards, curriculum and online health platform resources being utilized in Health.  Every family will have the opportunity to opt their child out of health topics for religious and/or morale reasoning.  The ERSD will be sending an opt-out form via Genesis in the near future.
