• Reading:  In 5th grade, students will read an array of short stories, articles, biographical texts, historical fiction novels, two whole class novels, and independent reading books.

 

• Writing:  In 5th grade, students will craft informative, persuasive, and literary analysis essays, as well as short stories, poems, and reflective/personal writing pieces.  

 

• Vocabulary, Grammar, and Language will be integrated into all units of study.
