Lulu is Mrs. Sheneman's 18th Seeing Eye puppy.  She is a black Labrador/Golden Retriever cross, born April 10, 2020, at The Seeing Eye.  Lulu is a Seeing Eye puppy, meaning that after she spends her first 15-16 months learning how to interact with the world through Mrs. Sheneman's guidance, she will return to The Seeing Eye to begin her formal training to become a guide dog.  If she passes her physical and her training, she will be matched with a blind or visually-impaired Seeing Eye graduate student. Because she is a service dog in training, when wearing her identification Lulu is permitted to go places and participate in events that pets may not.  She needs to experience lots of kindness and exposure to everyday life to eventually guide a blind student to lead an ordinary life.  Lulu currently is training at The Seeing Eye in Morristown, NJ.  Lulu loved her training with students, faculty, and school buses at White Township School every Friday.  Hurricane, below, is Mrs. Sheneman's 19th Seeing Eye puppy.  She is a black Labrador, born May 11, 2021.  She enjoys training with White Township students every Friday, now that Lulu has moved on to her formal training.
