Mrs. Sheneman

Mrs. Sheneman is a life-long resident of Flemington, NJ.  In fact, her ancestors have lived in central New Jersey since before the Revolutionary War!  Mrs. Sheneman graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School and the University of Rochester, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in English with Distinction (College of Arts and Sciences) and Music (Eastman School of Music).  She holds a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College, Rider University, and earned her Master's Degree in Music Education  at The University of the Arts.  Mrs. Sheneman is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) through the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Orff Level 3 certified through the American Orff Schulwerk Association (AOSA), and a First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege certified teacher through  the Feierabend Association for Music Education (FAME).  She is an active member of NAfME (National Federation of Music Educators), NJMEA (NJ Music Educators Association), FAME, and NNJOSA (Northern NJ chapter of AOSA).

Mrs. Sheneman LOVES all things musical, and looks forward to sharing tuneful, beatful and artful experiences with students everyday at White Township School.  Her favorite instrument is the piano, and although she enjoys ALL styles of music, classical music is her favorite.  When she isn't practicing the piano and flute, you may find her cheering on the University of Colorado, the US Air Force, or the US Army, all places where her sons are either studying or on active duty.  Her hobbies include trying new recipes and raising puppies for The Seeing Eye.
