Social and Emotional Growth:

 The Peace Flowers:

The peace flowers are a strategy for students to problem solve with classmates in a respectful and independent way.  Students are taught to make eye contact and express themselves using simple and clear language.  The peace flower helps empower students to resolve basic disageements on their own. 

Secret Messages:

Students are given daily messages that encourage positive behavior, work habits, and social relationships.  As the school year progresses students will begin to write their own messages to classmates.  Every student will receive at least one message per week.
