August 2019

Hello and welcome!

I am excited for the new school year and to meet your preschooler!  I hope you had a fun-filled and relaxing summer.

I’ve been busy since I finished teaching school in June.  I’ve been on many adventures with my husband and two sons, Graham (8 years old) and Harrison ( 5 years old).  We started our summer going on our annual Long Beach Island vacation where we enjoyed riding the waves, making sand creations, playing mini-golf, riding bikes, and spending quality time with Nana and Pop Pop. We then went to New Hampshire and were in awe of the beautiful White Mountains.  We hiked, swam in a river, slept in a tent (during a few thunderstorms!), and explored caves at Lost River Gorge.  Also in New Hampshire, I attended a nature-based learning conference.  I am excited and passionate to involve the students in what I learned at the conference.  Be ready for them to explore and get messy outside throughout the year!

Back at home, we went to the pool, played card games, rode bicycles, and played with neighborhood friends.

As you can see, family and fun places filled up my summer.  I look forward to sharing more stories with your children and begin connecting their learning and curiosity with the outside world.

There are also two wonderful assistants, Ms. Rose. and Ms. Wendy, who support and add to our classroom learning.  Our classroom is a fun, nurturing, safe place for all children to explore and learn.  We work on playing with others, getting messy, using our language, and getting in touch with nature through lots of fun activities each day.

Please visit my teacher website to get further information on what you need to send with your child, our specials schedule, and other important announcements. Each week and month, information will be updated so you know what themes we are learning about and what activities you could do at home to help continue the learning and fun!
