Dear 3rd Grade Families of B-10!

I am so excited to start a brand new year in the 3rd Grade together!   It is sure to be a year filled with learning, fun, and lots of teamwork. Having a safe place to learn, where all students feel valued and respected is especially important to me.  All children are different and require specific attention and affection for them to thrive. I will strive to do that for each of my students - give them the tools they need to learn, to grow socially, and feel good about themselves and the work they do.  I am eager to work collaboratively as a school family - students, parents and teachers - to create a successful year together!

Let me tell you a bit about myself:

Mrs. Stivala

I grew up in nearby Somerville, NJ. After graduating from the University of Scranton, in PA, I began teaching in Bridgewater.  This will be my 23nd year doing what I love; I have taught both 3rd and 4th grade.

I currently live in Clinton Township with my husband, Steven, my 19 year old son, Salvatore, and my 15 year old daughter, Sianna.  My children take up most of my time, but any spare moments when I am not watching them play soccer, I enjoy spending time at the beach,  walking, reading, listening to country music, and playing backyard games - cornhole is my absolute favorite!

Here are some more of my favorites:

Colors:  blue and magenta

Season:  Spring

Food:  anything Italian or Mexican

Drink:  iced coffee

Music:  country

Books:  Charlotte's Web and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

 Sport:  soccer
