Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at South Live Oak Elementary!

We are happy to have you as a part of our school.   The mission of South Live Oak Elementary is to prepare our children for life in a contemporary society by helping each child achieve his/her maximum potential through intellectual, physical, and social development.

South Live Oak Elementary serves approximately 500 students in PK 4 through 4th grades.  The experienced and dedicated staff and faculty serve the students in a highly technical school.  We have a variety of programs to meet the needs of individual students and to hold everyone to high standards of teaching and learning.

We encourage you to become an integral part of your child's educational experience.  There are many opportunities to do so, such as attending Meet & Greet, musical programs, Literacy Night, Math Night, and special luncheons for each grade level.  Additionally, we have a thriving volunteer program at our school.  Our children have benefited from the wonderful support of the "Rocket Boosters."  Finally, we believe that parent communication is vital.  We send home weekly homework sheets, weekly Monday Morning Messages from the principal via email, monthly newsletters, a comprehensive school handbook, and progress reports.  Conferences are held three days a week.  You may call the office at any time to make one to discuss your child's progress.  Your commitment to your child's education is directly related to his/her success, and we value our partnership with parents.

We are very proud of our students' success and will continue to set high expectations!
