Friday 12/20:
From admins: Tomorrow is a dress up day for all students and faculty. We will be going to Church at 10:30AM for the 1st Grade Christmas Prayer Service.
No jeans, t-shirts, leggings, Crocs, Uggs or sneakers are permitted.
Girls in grades 4th through 8th must wear tights or stockings with their appropriate knee length skirts and dresses. No exposed shoulders please!
Tomorrow is a very hectic day throughout the school. We ask that unless it is an emergency, please refrain from picking your child up early from the office.
Also, if your child has a change in their regular dismissal routine, please provide their homeroom teacher with a note in the morning.
Tomorrow is a full day - dismissal is at 2:30PM.
Gumdrops:
The 6th grade moms are planning a fun activity for our Christmas party on Friday, December 20th. They are asking each student to bring in a bag of gumdrops. Feel free to bring them in early. Thanks in advance!
GYM UNIFORMS:
Reminder to wear your gym uniforms on gym days starting next week. From the school handbook:
Grades K-8 Physical Education Uniform: Black, knee-length, mesh gym shorts with or without SLG logo (as seen at Flynn O’Hara) *No Soffe/Lululemon or the like/bike/spandex shorts are permitted. Gym shorts are permitted on designated gym days the entire school year however, from Thanksgiving until April 1st, sweatpants must be worn over the shorts (while not in gym). Maroon t-shirt with SLG logo (long or short sleeve) Solid black sweatpants with or without SLG logo (not tight or legging type pants) Solid colored crew socks in white or black Sneakers: white or black only Maroon full-zip fleece jacket with SLG logo (Optional) All students must wear gym uniforms to school on their gym day unless directed to do otherwise. Students who do not wear appropriate length gym shorts (weather permitting) will remain in the office until a parent/guardian can bring the student appropriate school gym clothing.
FROM ADMINISTRATION 10/7:
This will be the last week that any student will be permitted to bring their own equipment from home for recess. Today we are ordering more basketballs, footballs, tennis balls, soccer balls, wiffle balls/bats, volleyballs, bases, etc. Starting the week of 10/15 students will no longer be allowed to bring sports equipment from home.
