The American Association for Gifted Children (AAGC) is the nation's oldest advocacy organization for gifted children.

 

Association of Gifted and Talented Students of Louisiana

The Association of Gifted and Talented Students of Louisiana was established to promote the education of Louisiana's gifted and talented students and to insure the continued implementation of legislation that protects the valuable services that educational institutions provide for these students.  

 

Gifted Development Center

The Gifted Development Center serves parents, schools, and advocacy groups for gifted children with information about identification, assessment, counseling, learning styles, programs, presentations, and resources for gifted children and adults.

 

GT World

GT World is an on-line support community for gifted and talented individuals and those who support and nurture them.

Lagifted.com is funded by a three year federal Jacob K. Javits grant for Louisiana’s gifted and talented teachers. The purpose of this site is to provide online professional development in the area of gifted education and to encourage professional dialogue and the exchange of ideas between teachers. This site requires a log-on and password.

 

National Association for Gifted Children

The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is a non-profit organization of parents, teachers, educators, other professionals and community leaders who unite to address the unique needs of children and youth with demonstrated gifts and talents as well as those children who may be able to develop their talent potential with appropriate educational experiences.

 

National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented

The National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented is funded by the Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Students Education Act. They are a nationwide cooperative of researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and other persons and groups that have a stake in developing the performance and potentials of young people from preschool through postsecondary levels.

 

NEAG Center for Gifted and Talent Development

The NEAG Center for Gifted and Talent Development is maintained by the University of Connecticut in conjunction with the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented.
