As the Basic Skills Instructor in Mrs. Neuman’s first grade classroom, I work with students identified for Language Arts and Mathematics. Working closely alongside Mrs. Neuman, we collaborate regularly to plan instruction, share observations, and discuss effective strategies that meet the diverse needs of our students.
Together, we focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child feels successful and confident. By using targeted interventions, differentiated instruction, and consistent communication, we ensure that students receive the support they need to build strong foundational skills. The goal is to help each student develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
