Dr. Jacque L. Jones, PsyD
School Psychologist / Counselor
I have been the district's School Psychologist and the counselor for the E.A.
Tighe Middle School since 2005. I am also the "Anti-Bullying Specialist"
for the E.A. Tighe Middle School.
As the district's school psychologist, I am a member of the Child Study Team
whose purpose is to identify, evaluate, and develop programs for students
who have been identified as needing special education and related services.
In addition to evaluating students, I am also the CST Case Manager for
students at E.A. Tighe Middle School who have IEPs.
As the counselor for the middle school, I provide individual and group counseling to students, facilitate conflict resolution/mediation with students, and facilitate "Girl Talk" groups for middle school girls. I also assist 8th grade students with their transition to high school.
As the Anti-Bullying Specialist at E.A. Tighe Middle School, I conduct all investigations of reported incidents of harassment, intimidation, or bullying (HIB) and consult with the administration and District Anti-Bullying Coordinator on consequences and remediation for those affected.
I am also a member of the Tighe School Intervention and Referral Services
Team (I&RS) which assists students and teachers within the general education
classroom when students are struggling academically, behaviorally, or social-
emotionally.
I am a member of the E.A. Tighe Middle School PRIDE Committee (with
Mr. Louis Sanchez and Mr. Mark Winterbottom), Co-Advisor for the Yearbook
(with Mr. Louis Sanchez), Advisor to the Chess Club, and Advisor to the
Crafty Kids Club at Tighe School. These two clubs are available to all
interested students during lunch/recess.
