March 25th Message.  Make sure you are handing assignments in.  You can check genesis to see where your grade is.  The end of the marking period is the 31st.  What I do not have in by the 30th will be a 0!!!!!!!!  Teachers are not allowed in school, so I will not be able to make any more videos......Sorry!

March 27th Message.  Day 11 assignment is the actual test for Chapter 14.  On a seperate piece of lined paper record your answers for the online chapter 14 test on gas laws.  Make sure have your name and assignment on the paper.  Good Luck.  Assessment will be due by Tuesday the 31st.  If you like the videos, please contact the school and express the importance of the videos.

March 29th Message.  The end of the marking period is Tuesday people......Make sure you assignments are either in my inbox or in the bin at the high school.  I will be picking up the last of the work on Monday morning at 930ish.  Make sure its in there.........

April 2 - Hey peeps......The marking period has moved.  The 3rd mp ended on March 16 and anything that was done on your time off will be moved to the 4th mp.  I am going to start putting dates on top of the assignments rather than days.  Hope this helps.  I am thinking of starting a FB page just for chemistry.  Let me know what you think.  I will be making hard copies for those of you that are having trouble accessing the docs.  I will be dropping them off on the 15th.  Please don't get caught up in "What should I be working on today"?  Just do what you can and get it in when you can.  I will work with you.  Don't panic.  We will be fine.

April 4th-12th.  There will be no assignments handed out or due.  Check in on the 13th for additional materials.  Happy Easter Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 11-  Good morning or afternoon or night.  You guys are doing a great job.  Keep it up.  We are going to continue with heat transfer this week.  We only have two assignments, which should keep you busy.  If you need some help, we can zoom and chat, if you like.  Just let me know when you would like to talk and send me the invite.

April 14th-  Keep do what your doin'.  Hope all is well.  Do not go onto acids and bases until I tell you to.  I may try to fit in phase diagrams before we start acids and bases.

April 20th.  This week we are going to try to understand the difference between acids and bases and how to calculate pH and or concentration.

May 4.  This week we continue to calculate pH an pOH and backward.  Keep up the good work.  Please contact me with any problems.  If you need a Zoom meeting to help you with some of the problems, let me know.

May 18th.  This week we are going to take a look at acid base titrations.  Acids and bases will neutralize each other to form a salt and water.  We can actually calculate the amount of acid or base needed to neutralize another acid or base.  The formula is.........

Volume of acid  x   Molarity of acid  x # of H's on acid  =  Volume of base  x  Molarity of base   x   # of OH groups on base.  You know that I will be having you solve for one of the variables, so therefore I must give you the other 5 pieces of info.  Try them out.  There is a Khan academy video that looks pretty helpful.  Check it out through the link.

May 26-29.  This week I want to focus on getting assignments in.  Please look on Genesis and see if there are any 0's or blanks.  If this is the case, please get these assignments in.  If you think that you handed in assignments and you still have a blank or a 0, please let me know.  If any people are still struggling with the material you must let me know.  We can set up a zoom meeting.  Next week I will be posting some kind of cummilative assessment for the year.

June 1 - June 5.  No work this week.  If you have a book at home, please return it to the library before June 15th or it will become an obligation.  Please contact me if you need anything.
