11th Grade Health ~ An Overview
The eleventh grade health-education program consists of planned learning experiences in Family and Social Living and Substance Abuse. In studying family living, you will examine societal influences and the factors which weaken or strengthen familial relationships. Through a variety of personal and interpersonal structured classroom experiences, you will become better equipped to solve various life situations including how to maintain relationships outside of the family, cope with the death of a friend or loved one, aid someone in overcoming substance abuse, deal with sexual exploitation, prevent suicide, increase family planning awareness, and help in the control of sexually transmitted disease including AIDS.
Course Requirements
- Attendance: Credit will be lost on the seventh absence of the quarter.
- Cutting Class: Credit will be lost on the second cut class.
- Completion of Homework & Written Assignments:
Assignments are expected to be completed satisfactorily and on time. Failure to turn in a required assignment on time will result in 10 lost point per day late. Thus to receive full credit an assignment must be turned in by the due date. You always have the option of turning assignments in early. Note: If you are absent on the due date you must hand in the assignment with a doctor's note to receive full credit, otherwise your assignment will be considered late. No late projects will be accepted during the last two weeks of regularly scheduled classes.
