Class Policies

 

 

 

In my ELA class, students are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas in a welcoming, safe environment. 

 

• Be punctual.
• Be polite and kind.
• Be respectful of others and of school property.
  
• Be prepared with all materials everyday.
• Be positive and always do your best!

 

It is important that students and parents understand the following grading system:

 

Formative work (ex. class assignments, partner work, group work, smaller assessments) is 40% of the class grade. 

Summative work (ex. longer writing pieces, formal assignments and assessments) is 60% of the class grade.
